What does a Health Coach do?
A Health Coach partners with clients who want to make meaningful changes to their health and wellness. Their role is to support and facilitate clients’ growth and develop their capacity through mindset, habit and behaviour change.
Using curiosity to build confidence, coaches lead a conversation of self-discovery with the client, who is the expert in their own lives. It is recognised that the client has the answers - what hat they want, what will work for them (and what won’t!), and how they might get there.
The coaching process provides the framework and roadmap to provide structure, accountability and encouragement, while enabling and challenging the client to learn, grow and develop.

Our core philosophy sits within the realms of personal leadership and whole-of-person development so can be tailored according to the clients’ individual needs and preferences.

In the same way a pappus travels on the breeze, great leaders allow ideas, perspectives, and people to move and grow freely. They understand that letting go is not losing control; it is creating space for innovation and renewal. The pappus captures the essence of self-leadership — growth through change, clarity through reflection, and freedom through adaptability.

How is Health Coaching Different?
The following provides a definition of this form of coaching according to Health Coaches Australia and New Zealand Association (HCANZA)
Fundamentally, health and wellness coaching encompasses the sciences of positive psychology, behaviour change, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle medicine with the dynamic art of relationships, teamwork and community.
Health & Wellness Coaches focus on guiding and assisting their clients to develop the resilience advantage that long term behaviour change delivers in health and wellness outcomes.
Health and wellness coaching is a patient or client-centred approach that focuses on assisting them to elicit and clarify their values, gain insights into their lifestyle practices and develop a deeper understanding of possibilities and pathways to resolution of their challenges.
For the patient or client, this is a journey of self-discovery that ultimately leads to them setting goals, accepting a level of self-responsibility and experiencing positive self-determination.
It is this self-awareness and knowledge that inspires and motivates them to bridge the gap between intention and action.

Is it true that you also offer fitness classes?
Yes! At this stage group fitness classes are being held in the local area and are open to community members. If you are local, send us a message and we will share details of how you can join.
In future exercise programming and personal training will also be offered.
